Default Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5W-20

Amazon has Pennzoil 550038330 Ultra Platinum 5W-20 5 Quart for $28. This is the best price I have seen on this good quality oil. As you might know, Amazon prices fluctuates. If interested or needed, grab them while price stays low.......

Walmart is always at that price. Non-Ultra is $22.50.

Thanks for sharing that info. 1 1/2 years back when I started using this oil, Walmart didn't carry them. Glad to know they have it. It will put a price control on other vendors!.

I think it depends on the store. The Walmart in my area has never carried Pennzoil Ultra. Wonder how a national chain decides who will carry what....

I've never seen Pennzoil Ultra in any Walmart I've ever been in, I wish I had, I'd buy it.

I couldn't open the link to see it online, but I imagine when you add shipping charges it kind of hurts the sale. Wish this oil was readily available in stores.

Walmart has great prices on oil - especially right now - it seems like half the products are one sale. I ended up buying 6 five quart jugs of Mobil 1 at $22.95 a piece...then I used the rebate they were running in the spring ($12 dollars off each jug). I ended up paying around $2 dollars a quart for Mobil 1! I can't even buy conventional Super Tech for that price.

No wonder many WM are out of stock of these oils lately. Had to drive to three different WM to find the 3rd store only had 2 left on the shelf. I immediately grabbed the two and darted.

One could order online at Walmart and get free shipping as we need two of those which will qualify for free shipping. Else, add to Amazon subscribe and save and get additional 5 or 15% off.........which then will be cheaper than Walmart price.

I used to find that buying my oil in the U.S. was a great deal cheaper than here in Canada. That hasn't been the case for several years now. My local Canadian Tire consistently has sales on quality synthetics for anywhere from 20-30 dollars for 5 Liters (about 5 qts). Same with Walmart here....about the same prices as US Walmarts.

Pennzoil rebate right now at Walmart. Go get some.......................

WalMart has the Pennzoil 10w30 Synthetic 6 qts for $22.47 or 5w30 for $24.97. Hi mileage 5w20 6qts for 22.47. Order online and pickup in store. Combine with Pennzoil $2/qt rebate, cost drops to $10.47 and $12.97

many threads on this, but let me get a quick answer... por favor..
What is better for hard driving? 5/20 or 0/20? I'm about to stock up on some oil I believe my camry takes the same, so stocking up too much isn't an issue.
The promo site says up to 48$ per person, household, or address? I'll use my family members address and names to get more than the 48 per...

This will no doubt open a can of worms! LOL. I believe in 0W20 Syn from Toyota, because it has a robust additive pkg that also happens to have a high Moly count. That said, I am experimenting with Castrol 5W30 because I want to see what happens with oil consumption. I intend to go back to TGMO 0W20 on my next oil change. Spirited driving or not, 0W20 is what should be used. 20 weight is the same in both at operating temps. Obviously, the 0 and 5 ahead of that is the cold start up weight.

Spirited driving or not, I guess the 20 is the 20. I live in Socal, I think the coldest we get is at night time during winter is like 35 degrees.
Perfect! Thanks for the quick reply. Now let's close these cans of worms.

I meant to ask you how that thicker weight has been treating you. My own personal experience has been pretty good, I'm at 6,000 miles on my interval and I've used a half quart...I'm planning on extending it to 7,500 miles. If I can make it to 7,500 miles on only a half quart I'd call it a success. I'm using Mobil 1 0w30 right now - honestly I kind of like it - I don't know if it's doing so well because of the warm weather or what, but it is. I might go back to the 0w20 in the winter, then again maybe not.

Well so far, no consumption, but I haven't hit high mileage on it yet (maybe 2k miles?). (Im not even sure how many miles I have on it). I can say though that, there is no difference that I can see in driving performance, whether that be mpg or acceleration etc. Seems to run the same regardless.
