Poor gas mileage IS350 F sport
Hey all -
I just picked up a 2014 IS350 F sport w/ 13k miles on it. Stoked on the car.. but.. I just checked my gas mileage, and it is pretty **** poor. Driving conservatively in normal mode, I'm getting only around 15mpg. Driving somewhat aggressively (not redlining, but a little leadfooted), I'm seeing around 12mpg. Most of my driving's city driving, but I still wouldn't expect gas mileage to be this awful (and this far from the estimate). Anyone else get gas mileage this bad? Any ideas on what I should do if anything?

Wow thats terrible. Im assuming RWD since you're in CA?
I have a 250 AWD and get 22.5-23mpg all day... and I drive a little aggressive here & there. Mostly city driving, maybe 10% highway.

Yeah. It's a RWD. I had a previous generation 250 that got 24 avg. Gas mileage is going to be rough on the wallet, lol.
I actually looked under the hood expecting someone had swapped out a V10, lol.
If I brought the car to Lexus, think they'd do anything (car is still under warranty)?

Yeah. I'd be more than happy with that. I'm driving just a few easy miles a day.
Also.. when I got the car, I checked the MPG on the nav display. Previous owner never got more than 13.

What's your tire pressure? Under inflated tires will kill mpg's. Lexus recommends 36 psi cold but my IS350 rides and handles really nicely with 37-38 psi cold.
I average 16.5 mpg's consistently but I'm an aggressive heavy foot driver. So don't feel bad your not the only one that suffers at the gas pump.

I got a 2016 IS350FSPORT. Ive been averageing 24 MPG combined on each tank of gas ever since Ive hit 3K on the odo. Now at around 5200 on the ODO. My most recent tank got me 26 MPG combined.
Note that I drive 90/10 (HWY/CITY), always in eco mode, and I don't floor it like a crazy person. My daily commute is ~50 miles. To and from work.
From the looks of it, your mainly city + you seem to have a lead foot. So that's probably why the bad MPG.

^ Good thinking.
Just a tip. Reset your AVG MPG calculator for each tank fill-up. This will give you an idea of how much this current tank of gas is giving you in terms of AVG MPG.

Average 21mpg switching between eco, normal, and sports+ in each tank fill up. Haven't been able to get 24mpg ever since the ark exhaust got installed... Probably cause I subconsciously gas it more to hear her roar. Lol

Got the ark exhaust too myself, and love hearing it roar and hearing that ocassional back fire on tge exhaust gives me a tingly sensation between my legs
