Is it possible? that use 4-ohm speaker on my LS?
Dear Sir.
My LS is 2001. and no ML system.
I want to replace the OEM front speaker to Focal 165FX series.
OEM speaker is a 2-ohm.
But Focal 165FX is a 4-ohm.
Is is possible?

While I love Focal who are one of the few to make statement level home and car audio while still offering more reasonable offerings, the OEM amplifier will most likely supply not near enough current to drive those speakers possibly. And while many folks believe that overdriving speakers is the cause of most being blown out, it is actually distortion that is the number one killer of speakers.
Are you doing this DIY? I only ask because Crutchfield offers pretty long return terms so you could try them without having to keep them if they do not.
Best of luck on this and excellent taste in speakers. I very much miss having 165K2's (front and back) in my old car.

Could you recommend the good 2-ohm speaker(another vendor) to me that sound like a Focal 165FX Series?
Focal released the 2-ohm speaker(165KRX series). But 165KRX series is very expensive to me.
Thank you
