Default New 2015 RC F Discount

Looking around I see quite a few dealers sitting on NEW 2015 cars.

With them having these in inventory for a long time and paying floor plan on these.... Would you expect a significant discount from sticker?

Thinking about busting a move on one!

There are no discounts on any of them.

There are 2 extensive threads discussing it

I see in the lease thread where someone claims to have gotten 6K off sticker. Next person says that's the biggest discount they've heard of.

Maybe dealer makes a little more on the lease vs a cash deal?

I find it very hard to believe that a car in inventory for a long time, AND the TWO year newer model just around the corner would hold full sticker.

Full sticker (or over) is for new models that they can't keep in stock. At least in my limited car buying experience. Haha... I'm 60 years old. Not quite the case when you have a 2015 on the lot in June 2016....

Haven't read (or found) the threads stating no discounts. You sure that wasn't when the cars were recent arrivals to the dealer?

There was a little sarcasm going, on my part

Here you go with the link

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rc-...hreads-51.html

Demand at least 20% off sticker. I demanded and received that in feb with my new Rcf with 20 miles.

Start your search with cars.com

Should have mentioned....

The car at my local stealership has a sticker of $73,590. Split 10 Spoke Wheels, Red Trimmed Leather (White Exterior), Nav/Levinson, Premium Package, Moon Roof.... Then mats, key gloves, cargo net & wheel locks.

I see some on cars.com with higher stickers.... Like 79K

At 20% off it would be just under 58K. Taxes here are 4.1% of sale price.

So that would be under 62K out-the-door.

Sound about right?

The ones sticker for 79k has performance package and carbon fiber roof/ spoiler (no sunroof).

Yup. Around 62k is what I paid otd. Make sure the dealer doesn't stiff you with hefty dealer fees last minute. Call in the Internet sales Dept is the best way to go and offer your otd price

Well I tried to get 62K out the door.

The New Car Manager came back at $63,112 take it or leave it.

I said I'd do 63K even and wanted a complete front end stone chip wrap at dealer cost. Told the salesman that if the manager truly wanted it gone the $112 wouldn't stop him.

Just about to hit the 600 mile mark and am looking pretty hard at exhausts right now.

Love the car. Not my first Lexus. Had a couple of LS 430's and they were tanks. Traded a Prius for a CT 200 which my college age son is driving.

Didn't really find any surprises when I drove the RC F. Pretty much what I expected. Anvil like rigidity, zero body roll, all the creature comforts one could ask for and then some.

This is a Gentleman's Sports Car. Or as I like to say...a Japanese Aston Martin.

Shout out to everyone who gave me advice...Thanks!
