Default what oem accessories are folks adding?

They are posted on the site...

http://www.lexus.com/models/RX-hybrid/accessories

I'm looking at the bodyside moldings to help with my wife's adventures in parking lots... Anyone install a set of these yet?

Definitely going to add the rear bumper protector. Our car already has the package with the cargo mat, net, etc...

What about the mud guards (mud flaps) or the running boards? anyone try these yet?

Many web sites have body side moldings. Either color matched or chrome/plastic. Easy application as the come with 3M adhesive strips installed. Just masking tape a line and stick it on using after using prep pads supplied with kit. Much more affordable and perfect paint match.

Really havent seen anything that Im interested in . Side moldings looks terrible IMO and rarely protect the exact height of a hit. Would rather pay $50 and have a paintless dent/ding guy take it out.

Lexus dealerships might install running boards and mud guards free of charge if you purchase the vehicle.

I agree about the look of side moldings, but the doors on the new RX look as if they are just begging for a dent. I am also sure that most dents can not be repaired for $50 apiece in my area. Would love to see a picture of one with the moldings installed, if anyone has one to post.

I am going to pass on these Lexus add ons and just get the Weather Tech mats for the front and the cargo mat for the rear.

I also what the hitch receiver for my bike rack and small trailer towing. Will try to order this hitch today from Lexus parts so they can install on the 5K

I have the lexus all weather cargo mat - and for less than 100 bucks, it's a very nice unit. The lexus all weather mats are nice enough, but I am going to stick with the factory mats for now. I like the carpet look and feel better.

Still waiting to see the running boards, side moldings, and mud guards.... just not sure how it would look on a hybrid fsport.

Same. IF anything I'd consider the mud flaps and rear bumper protector. That protector has protected my car countless times from suitcases, boxes, etc.

I ordered the all-weather cargo mat for $85.

I think the moldings look awful too; they ruin the clean, smooth sides of the car. I understand they protect against dents, but like others have said, just get them repaired.

I ordered it from eBay from a Lexus dealer seller. Seems like they only sell black though for this price:

Default Mud Guards installed today...

I had dealer throw these in, along with accessories pkg, before I bought the RX. I had mud guards on both previous RX's...can't guarantee they helped, but never had any nicks either.

I just bought the OEM roof rack bars from a Lexus dealer on Ebay. I need it for this ski season and no idea when Thule or Yakima is coming out with their versions...
