Default RC F automotive reviews thread

I suggest that we place all news coverage here.

Autoweek obviously did not have an embargo on breaking this story...and it's awesome!

http://www.autoweek.com/article/car-...pe-first-drive

You will read at the end of the article that it had the same-driver lap time as the M4.

I'm anxiously awaiting reviews and specs on the RC F, and I read that article too, but it says, "Short of same-driver lap times, the seat of these pants says the BMW is the only car in the set that makes a clear-cut case for better track car." So, no same-driver lap time comparisons just yet, at least from Auto Week.

Not very informative, but news nonetheless.

Despite identical lap times, the M4, among the RS4, C63, and RCF is what this this editor prefers for the track. Trust me: there will be plenty of preferences leaning the RCF way as well.

At least, this is how I am interpreting it.

I would not over-analyze that... both GS and IS are often automatically rated worse in mags, until they group test them. Just today I read Edmunds review of C class which said that IS is good competitor but lacks handling finesse of German vehicle... while we know that IS actually has the best handling finesse of them all - but only after the group tests.

I'm excited about the RC F, and I prefer it to those other 3 cars too, but "short of..." means "not having..." rather than "despite identical...."

What Lexus has since then put on the tire for a sports fan? Boredom of past years: forget it! Tired Drives: blown away! The RC F is probably the most beautiful and best Lexus ever - and also has a lot of potential for addiction.

Car & Driver RC F review…

"Just a few horses shy of sensational"
"the car also gained a good bit of weight, and ... feels no quicker than the IS."

proceed at your own risk...

Second sentence in and there is a grammatical error.

"Which is why were a little surprised—pleasantly so—when we learned that Lexus would launch"

foreshadow of the great writing we have come to expect from C&D

Why does the new Lexus RC F weigh so much?

"Maybe the metal they use in Japan is simply thicker than the stuff they use in Munich nowadays" -- Steve Sutcliffe
