The CBI bulbs are 5000k, pure, true white without compromising loss of lumens.

I was going to swap to d2s ballasts for the d2s version, but then the d4s version was released.

The Philips version are 6000k, but you're losing about 200 lumens...

^ Correct. Go to YouTube and search for osram cbi 5000k. There are a handful of comparison videos and it seems they make a huge difference compared to the stock D2Ss.

^ thanks you've just made it even more complicated for me.

So these replace the lights that come in before the xenon's correct?

How about someone just post a pic on what this bulb actually replaces?

Low beam, the bulb behind the projector lens. But I'm actually returning the Philips Ultinon for these and hopefully they won't disappoint like the Philips bulbs.

I wonder if they (The Retrofit Source) are sponsored vendors on here, maybe we could get a group buy going?

No offense to any of the other vendors, I just have zero issues getting warranty replacements. Their products, quality and process is transparent. I'd vouch for these guys all day!

haha

They are not, and they will not post about sales as long as they are not. It's how we keep CL free to anyone who wants to participate as an owner.
