Default Motor Trend reviews 09 changes

"A mid-gen update for the IS 250/ IS 250 AWD/ IS 350 brings a new grille/fascias/taillamps/wheels plus interior cosmetic/functional tweaks. Retuned suspension/steering improves control and response, the paddle - shifting logic has been upgraded, and VDIM stability becomes an IS 250 standard. The hot IS F variant gets minor interior changes."

I sure wish Lexus would reveal the changes.

I'm sure pics will be out soon enough. I'm looking forward to seeing what changes they made.

hmm, what are my choices here.

1. swap rims for the short term

2. swap for grey WOOD interior

3. swap for clear turn signals or stock red outs or rear fog avail taillamps

4. swap grille if someone hates it and its better than the lx-mode

5. upgrade shifting logic

isbu: can you get me some snazzy front lips?

Interesting...

Let's see if for the paddles, a shifting logic upgrade will interpret into a response improvement as well.

Default Source?

Is the source for this the print magazine? If it's on the web, can you provide a link?

Knowing Lexus/Toyota that's probably not happening. I would bet that the most Lexus will do is change the gearing ratio a little and maybe, just maybe, tighten the steering ratio but that's about it.

A bump in the power output (say 330hp) will be nice but I don't see that happening either...

+1. Motor Trend isn't exactly the most reliable source out there. On the same pages, there are several obvious mistakes with other '09 cars. This is the first talk of any suspension and steering changes. We shall see.

Who knows, those changes could make the car hideous.
