I want to know who has the famous wheel shake. Mine didn't start till I put on my 18's and it's really not that bad. How about you? state the size of rims please!

Stupid question, but did you get it re-aligned after you put your wheels on? It makes a huge difference. I put 22's on my RX and lowered it, and before I had it re-aligned I took it on the freeway. The wheel shook like crazy. And then I had the front two wheels re-aligned, and it's gone. :-)

Started now getting it at 50mph. That's AFTER getting my balljoints, inner and outer tie rods, Daizen bushing upgrade [steering rack bushing and control arm bushing] replaced. Used to get it at 60mph. I have 19inch staggered rims. I'm wondering now, do I need to do a road force balance? This problem is fuxxing so annoying. And expensive. I'm at wit's end!!!
Didn't do the pretensioner mod yet. But is it really the solution?

I didn't have it with my stock 16s or aftermarket 18s.
After my 19s, I had the dreaded 60 mph shakes...threw on some hub rings and that actually took care about 70%.
Did the daizen front control arms bushings and alignment and that totally took care of the vibrations
Everyone should have all of their bushings checked out. The GS suspensions are too soft to be called a "sport sedan"

I did...... but got it resolved.
Here are the things that that could be the problem and might want to do in order:
1) Alignment (very important)
2) Road Force Balance (very important)
3) Wheel Hub Adapters (very important)
4) Replace Ball joints (recommended)
5) Replace Tie Rods (recommended)
6) Replace engine mounts and transmission mounts (recommended)
7) Replace Caster bushings (recommended)
8) Replace Wheel bearings (last precautionary step)
This is based on my research through Lexus techs and Club Lexus. If you got the shakes I would follow the above list in that order. I GUARANTEE if you follow that list in order, at some point the shaking will stop.
Hope this helps.
