Question Do you balance your tires with every rotation?

Is it necessary to balance the wheels with every tire rotation? I have 11,000 miles on my '07 ES350 and have rotated the tires twice without balancing the wheels. I'm still not feeling any unusual vibration in the steering wheel. Just curious, what do you do with your car?

I have 24K on mine. Have rotated twice, about due for 3rd at 25K. Have never balanced the tires because there is no vibration. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

My garage guys tries to balance them after the second rotation (16,000 miles approx). I always say no unless a vibration is present. But........
My OEM Michelins got rotated but never balanced because they wore out in 9000 miles. Got new ones under Michelin grace for $50 per tire.

No, I've never rebalanced unless I've experienced some vibration and it that case the tire shop will do all four for free. In other words if I want them rebalanced I just have to say there is a vibration.

My dealership offers it with 15,000 mile services for the ES350. I think its unecessary and we usually dont find them to be imbalanced, but it is a nice service to the customer.

As said above, 'if it ain't broke, dont fix it'. You will know if they are imbalanced.

Exactly.....if you don't hit curbs or major potholes, it's not necessary.

I only get my wheels balanced when I install new tires (along with a 4 wheel alignment). Been doing that for 15 years & my tires always wear evenly.

Why would you need to get a 4-wheel alignment when installing new tires...especially if you hadn't hit any curbs or potholes prior to getting new tires?
