Will the OEM 04+ 18" wheels fit on a 01 UL?
I am not sure if UL packages have bigger brake calipers in the fronts. I was looking to get a set of 18" 04+ stock wheels(5spoke ones) as a spare set. Will they clear the 01 UL brake calipers and fit without any issues?

Except for the early 90s LS400, I've never noticed the ride quality of either LS400s or LS430s with air suspension to be noticeably different than LS400s or LS430s with the standard spring suspension. The auto magazine articles I have read over the years seem to confirm my perceptions.
Air suspension is not a panacea. The main benefit of air suspension on Lexus LS cars is that it is automatically adjustable -- no dragging rear end when fully loaded with passengers and luggage; no headlights pointing to the sky on pre-98 LS cars without self leveling headlights; somewhat better handling when the car is fully loaded.
On pre-UL cars, air suspension was even a pretty cheap option. It was so inexpensive - dealer cost $1,524; retail price $1,905 on the 2000 LS400 - that it is all the more surprising that it cost so darn much to fix when it fails.
The bottom line is that an LS430 (or a 95-00 LS400), moderately loaded, is not going to ride or drive much differently whether or not it has air suspension.

Let me start with I never said the spring suspension is bad in anyways, my statement was directed to "LA wheel" above who got a UL, I was just saying even with the 18s, the ride is very smooth. Now to reply to what you said:
I haven't own a LS yet, but lately I started test driving them because I am in the market for a 04'-06' LS430, so I had to try out all 3 suspension set up (standard, sport, airbags) to see which one fit my preferences the most. I would disagree with you on them not having noticeably differences, to me they are dramatically different from each other, mind you though I am very sensitive to suspension differences, maybe to someone who are not sensitive, they all feels about the same, to me, they are very different in feels. Now I am not saying any one of the suspension set up is bad in anyway, it is all a matters of personal preferences and needs.
To me, the regular spring set up is a bit too soft, too floaty, a bit underdamped on the shocks. On the sport spring set up, it is a hair too bumpy, the shocks are a bit too overdamped, it rides a bit too much like a sports car for me on a luxury car like these. With the airbags on the sport setting, it is just right, it doesn't have any of the floaty feeling of the regular set up, it feels a lot like the sport spring set up, but the bumpy feeling is much reduced, the bump are much softer. But I haven't try the normal setting on the airbags due to limited test drive time. Again, these are all my very own personal preferences, and suspension feels are all subjective, it is different for everyone. I am just saying to me, they all feels very different.
Well, buying something with the car always cost much less then buying the individual parts, like the 18" wheels option is only like maybe $800 (these # are all a guess, but is a close guess), but the individual wheel is probably $1000 each retail, tire is $300 each......etc.
