what did you do to your trims? did you want all that texture to be on there? A nice flat black, low-gloss would have been very nice...

everything else is already flat black...

I had contemplated piano gloss black, but decided that would take wayyyy too long... went this route instead... I had to have some sort of contrast...

it's the paint from rust-oleum called "hammered" the stuff is super resilient, and will coat anything... the key is to not buy it in a spray can, but instead in a pint...

I had originally wanted to sand and re-stain the factory woodgrain - the black woodgrain is just awesome looking, but I have no clue how much lacquer they put on ours, I sanded an extra piece forever and still didn't get through the lacquer...

Nice DIY

The 2 tone tan-black interior looks great. The shift light mod is cool as well. As for the woodgrain, the color isn't bad but the texture isn't for me. I've always liked the stock wood personally.

What kind are they?, and where did you get those custom needles. Great job on the dash.

what kind are what?

the needles I made myself... ordered some SMD LED's off ebay for about $10, did some soldering, and voila...

Love the shifter mod, very cool.... waaayyy too big of a pain in the azz though LOL. Not really feeling the cluster. I like the black dash top rather than the do-do brown.

Looks like you killed a weekend

I definately like the needles, but I cant say the same for the backlighting.

I guess the textured paint looks cool. Id have to see it in person. Is it all consistant?

yes, very consistent... the key is in making sure it's applied evenly... paint thickness determines how it sets...

the backlighting looks much different in the dark and in person - no matter what, I can't get the camera to get the right color, even when using my own exposure settings and such... I think it's partially because it's actually UV to an extent...
