Talk about a "sleeper". At first you can hardly hear the motor idle and then suddenly BAM!, she just screams. Good stuff! Thanks Flip, you gotta show us more in action.

16.5MB for 13 seconds of poor quality video, yikes! You should consider using Quicktime. You'd get HD quality using H.264 in a file the same duration and size as your AVI.

Agree, that was the first thing I noticed that when it took off the back end didn't look as bad as I thought it would. I'm only concerned now about the back seat room, it appears not getting good reviews. I had hoped it would be at least larger than my E46 but it's probably the same or less. Why couldn't they just stretch the car length 2 or 3 more inches & place that in the rear seating????

Flip you teaser, 13 secs

...awaiting more online...

Nice vid Flip!

The car sounds pretty mean. But it sounds like more engine noise than exhaust noise. I heard a hint of exhaust note after the car changed gears. When the car accellerated off after the gear change, you could hear a little rumble. I can see how the car mags can complain about the exhaust note, but it still sounds pretty mean.

Or maybe its the way the camera picked up the sound... ionno Would you agree with me Ryan?

For those of you who are thinking "what the hell is this guy talking about?" There was a discusion somewhere some time ago about the loudness of the stock 350 exhaust vs the upcoming performance exhaust vs the IS300 with L-tuned.

IMHO, the 300 w/ L-tuned would have a louder exhaust note, but overall the stock 350 may be louder.

Either way, I can't wait to hear this thing in person. Only 2 more months

I wasn't filming. I was driving the IS350 at the time while Joseph (silveraltezza) in the IS250 AWD with Phil (LexDymndz). They weren't accellerating in that short clip...we were both cruising about 35mph and I mashed the pedal when the car in front of me turned to the right.

The IS350 stock exhaust setup is more pronounced than the IS300/L-Tuned setup in my opinion...sounds alot more satisfying than my Carson Tuned setup as well. I guess having dual exhaust setup helps resonate the sound better.

Haha I guess alot of the questions you guys are bringing up right now will be answered in the next few days after I cut up more clips to post up.

Thanks for the 20mb of uncompressed video, flip. I really enjoyed waiting for the download. j/k (Windows Media Encoder is free and super easy to use--you don't need the Hollywood-grade Adobe Premiere just for simple film cutting and compression you know. )

Agreed. I seem to hear more engine noise than exhaust note. It's pronounced but not exactly pleasing to the ears. Perhaps that's why the High Performance Exhaust System is offered as an option.

All in all another great production from flip. Thanks again!

True, but i've made some copies of the whole 30 mins of edited video for my friends and I to keep. This was just more thancutting it up certain clips just to post on the internet. So the use of Adobe is justified. But thanks for the tips!
