Whats the Best FI
I really want add some type of FI to my car. I have nitrous on Acura and will be upgrading to a turbo system but I was wondering what is the best for my IS. Turbo? Supercharger? no nitrous. How much do kits run and what luck people have had with them. My IS300 is not a manuel but the E shift version. How is turbo with the E shift. How many horses can my tranny hold? Also does anyone have any numbers? I know its a lot of questions but anything would be great. Thanks in advance.

I happen to know the IS300 can handle a 100 shot all day long, with no problems, nada, nothing....It loves spray :-)
My next mod is the PLP Supercharger kit...to give the lower end some grunt off the line. :-)

The SRT turbo kit seems to be the best: Here is a dyno of the stage 4 SRT kit. 723rwhp or almost 900hp.
Check out their web site, their turbo kits are reasonably priced, and reliable.

Lexciting,
Sorry, but that dyno does not mean that SRT has the best turbo setup. I think most would agree that the PHR and Toyomoto kits are the top end kits available. Remember SRT used a T-78 turbo on that setup which produces very big lag. That turbo doesn't hit full boost until 5700 rpm or so. That is only 1000 rpm away from the redline on that dyno. In my opinion, the more responsive turbos are the way to go.

First, you can't just say PHR or Toyo is the best...That's your opinion and it could be different from others. Second, it's not a T-78....it's a T-76. Also, it's obvious that a bigger turbo will have more lag but in return produce more power. More power is great and the lag can be reduced to almost non-existence by a small single fogger of n2o from 3k to 5.5k rpm . It's what the buyer wants. If they want street kits, then a smaller turbo with low hp would sufice, but if they want some kick *** 1/4 mile track cars that can also make some serious hurt on the exotics on the hwy, then you have the T-72 or T-76 as an option. Now back to your regularily scheduled program and boost away.
