Looks like it got whacked with the Bangle stick pretty hard. Based on the 1st pic, I'm not impressed. Looks too tall and bloated, not at all like a sports sedan should. I'll reserve final judgement until I see it in the flesh, but right now, I think it sucks.

I don't like it at all. I know BMW is trying to reach out to different buyer market segments but I don't think this is the way.

It kinda reminds me of the Mazada 3 wagon, its in there. Stylin isn't as horrible as the 5 but its still a Bangle w/o a doubt.

I'm thinking perhaps that the new 3-series may have a very similar front clip to this 1-series. I actually don't think its that bad. But I agree with whoever pointed out the bowing bottom edge... that looks real suspect! Hopefully the 3-series will have a more traditional, not-so-bangle rear end at least. Anyone have pics of the rear of this 1-series?
