Default Anyone remove their roof rails?

I was wondering if anyone has taken their roof rack off on the new body style and what they used to cover holes etc?

Did you just pop off the plastic covering? As in screwdriver lift straight up?

Interesting. Who does? The dealer never provided me with any tools or instructions to remove the roof rails?

I think the OP is talking about the roof rail removal . . . .your PDF is talking cross bar removal.

Default REMOVE roof rails (silver)

Does anyone know how to, or if they have done so already, removing the silver roof rails?

Is it like this?

https://www.clublexus.com/how-tos/a/...f-rails-367523

I tried prying it off but I couldn't do it and was afraid it would break.

Just want to remove the silver part so I can plasti dip it black haha

Thanks

So your just removing them to "paint" them...should have no problem. I would be careful that nothing falls into the headliner when you remove the bolts....I don't even know if there is a nut under there...just saying watch out incase.

Didn't want to tape and "paint" on the vehicle ??

SO I tried that yesterday. It was very difficult to get the inner part of the roof rail with the plasti dip spray and today when I was washing my car, the whole thing just peeled right off haha.

I think I'm going to try one more time tomorrow and make sure I get full coverage on both sides somehow. I tried to pry off the roof rails and man it wouldn't budge. So I didn't want to break anything
