Current LS and Dream LS

Went to my local grocery store last night and my car's older brother was parked 2 spaces away. Same color combo (silver/grey), same tint level, same rims (5 stars, although mine are smaller). I stood there for a minute just looking at the difference in the lines of the cars with them side-by-side. I really do like the lines of the '10's-'12's, especially the shape of the windows and the rear tail lights and exhaust design. I actually think I prefer them to the '13's and beyond (although I like the '13 + interior much more). I almost pulled the trigger in July on a 2012 LS just like this one. Ended up deciding to keep my LS for about another year to take advantage of one more year of depreciation on a '12 and also see if the '13 will come down a bit when the LS500 gets released.Attachment 399960

Agree. I've driven two 460's and just didn't see that much improvement. Still think the 430 is quieter and more luxurious. Yeah, from some angles the 460 looks more interesting. From the side? The 460 wins. From the back? With the narrow trunk? Not even sure it's an LS. It's all personal opinion here.
I am keeping an eye out for an '05 or '06 but have no reason, really, to replace the '01.
An LC500 is a "wish list" car in the future, too..... But then I'd have to choose between shedding the SC300 or the LS430 and either one of those will be tough to part with (wife will no way let me keep all of them....)

The 430 is my daily driver now for about a year. The 460 is the wife's daily. I prefer the 430's ride and while the 460 exterior styling is nice and the '13s interior is top notch with lots of tech (albeit it is constantly beat down as being behind the competition) the 430 is really nice.

It'll be nice when the LS460s come down in price, but it's hard to get out of an LS430. A lot of cars are better in theory, but if you got a car that works great and no car payment, it's tough to find a car that's going to make the $300-$500/month payment look compelling. Or if you forego a car loan, you'll have a non-trivial amount of money wrapped up in your car.

Current LS is an 05 base black on black and the EXACT color combo and type I was looking to buy; I was good with 05 or 06 model years.
Dream LS is also an 05 or 06 but the UL in black on black with under 30K miles and suspension that is not broken; pretty much in new condition.
I really do not like the too much to go wrong factor of the 460s and the styling is bulky and ugly in my eyes. It looks like a large Korean economy sedan to me. All car makers seem to be going to smaller displacement with turbos but I prefer a traditional large V8 that breathes on its own. I'm also not a fan of AWD in a large sedan which is really not needed in SE Texas.
I'm casually looking to snap up a dream LS before nearly all of them are past 100K miles and the opportunity to have something low miles is gone forever. I passed on buying a 99 SC400 with 30K miles for $15K last year and still regret it. That was a once in a lifetime deal that is now gone.
