Default Poor fuel economy.. rx350 2016 Lemon? Awful Lexus customer service

I purchased my Rx350 2016 in December 2015 and have all of the following issues. I have also taken it to the dealership multiple times for them to resolve. So far, nothing has been resolved..
VERY disappointed customer. This is my first Lexus. Has anyone else considered the lemon law or complaining to take their 2016 lexus rx350 back.

Poor fuel economy - vehicle was getting 13-14 MPG on average in city for 2 months. Some of this was highway but most was in the city. Now, vehicle is getting 16MPG on average in city but never more than 22/23MPG on the highway. This is very disappointing since the car was advertised as 20MPG city and 28 MPG highway. Our other cars actually get the gas mileage advertised in the city and highway. Why doesn't my new expensive Lexus get the advertised gas mileage??? The dealership has told me to use premium gas, the vehicle manual says to use Regular gas, Lexus Corp HQ told me NOT to use Costco gas, Lexus HQ told me to use Chevron or Shell fuel only. none of the proposed solutions have resolved the poor fuel economy. I also tried driving with an extremely light foot on the pedal and tried driving 62MPH on the highway in cruise control per Lexus instructions. None of these proposed solutions work. Another Lexus Corp HQ employee told me I would get better gas mileage after 5K miles but the service department at Lexus told me that new cars don't have to be broken in to get the advertised fuel economy.

AC gurgling noise - first, dealership said they didn't hear the noise after I dropped it off at service. I drove to dealership and showed it to them immediately. They replied 'oh, this is a common problem' and said it will take 2 hours to fix. They added refrigerant. Shortly after leaving the service department, AC gurgling noise started again.

Airbag recall - I called 3 times inquiring about the airbag to be replaced and Lexus said they're not in stock and won't be available until Sept 2016. I complained because the recall says it could cause possible risk/harm to the driver. I dropped vehicle at service after Corp HQ called my lexus dealership. The service department said they can only replace 2 a week so they took mine since I called HQ. A week later, I picked up vehicle and the service paperwork said - Airbag - NO REPLACEMENT. I couldn't find anything on the paperwork stating the work had been completed. The service manager advised that it had been done even though it wasn't on the paperwork so he manually wrote something in saying work was completed. I'm taking my vehicle to another dealership this week to check if they actually replaced airbag.

There is a vibration coming from gas pedal at times that is quite annoying. Dealership said no one else is complaining about this issue but I've found many complaints on this blog.

I purchased a new Lexus because my former vehicle was getting old and I don't like visiting the service department frequently. However, my new Lexus is in the shop frequently. I'm very seriously considering an attorney next. I've never been so disappointed in my 40 years of buying a new vehicle.

I have had mine for about 3 weeks. I am very happy with the car and so far the first tank I got 18.5 mostly city and on the second tank i am at 18.2. I have no complaints. By the I have Michelin tires, I have heard that Michelin tires will get better gas mileage. Don't know if there is any truth to that or not.

1st tank 15.6 Normal mode OEM gas
2nd tank 16.2 Eco mode 7-Eleven regular gas
3rd tank 15.5 Eco mode Racetrac regular gas
4th tank 16.5 Eco mode 7-Eleven Regular gas (switch to 20" and 38 psi from 18" and 33 psi)
5th tank 18.3 Normal mode 7-Eleven regular gas (75% tank=13 gallons and 245 miles = 18.8 mpg
6th tank 19.7 Sport mode 7-Eleven regular gas (254.3 miles / 12.72 gallons = 20 mpg! Manually)
7th tank 19.2 ECO mode regular gas - test difference between winter and summer gas(250.3 miles / 13.12 gallons = 19.1 mpg manually)
8th tank 19.5 ECO mode 7-Eleven SUPER PREMIUM gas to compare to regular (267.1miles / 13.8 gallons = 19.4mpg)
9th tank 19.3 SPORT mode 7-Eleven SUPER PREMIUM to compare to regular (305.7 miles / 16.2 gallons = 18.9 mpg manual calc.)
10th tank ??? SPORT mode 7-Eleven Regular gas

From FULL tank to completely empty the 2016 Lexus RX took 16.2 gallons and drove 306 miles.

Half a mile per gallon difference between ECO and SPORT ? Really ? My style of driving is with many lights, city driving 85% of time in 45 mph areas, fast to max speed limit to then release gas pedal and cruise towards next stop. Avoid ECO mode. Sport mode Rocks! One more SPORT mode with Regular Summer gas and will stop posting my mileage.

Default 2016 Rx350 2WD Average gas mileage

After 5105 miles and 214 gallons, worse 21.4 MPG, best 26.5 MPG. Over all average gas mileage is 23.85
Moderate driving style, 60% city, 40% highway. 8 fill up were premium gas, 8 fill up were regular gas. Gas mileage is the same whether it is premium or regular gas.

My full tank commute doing 85% HIGHWAY (70-85mph) in ECO, NORMAL and SPORT .

24.4 mpg ECO mode 7-Eleven Regular gas (373.7 miles / 15.44 gal = 22.4 mpg manual)
23.5 mpg NORMAL 7-Eleven Regular gas (337.3 miles / 14.39 gal = 23.4 mpg manual)
25.0 mpg Sport mode 7Eleven Regular gas (383.1 miles / 15.4 gal = 24.9 mpg manual)

Summary. ECO sucks BOTH in 85% Highway AND 85% city . Sport mode 4 ever !

See below my numbers driving in 85% city. Summary, ECO sucks, SPORT mode rules!

1st tank 15.6 Normal mode OEM gas

So...I just took a 2600 mile trip from Houston to Salem, OR (with a few detours in between). After 7 months of ownership, our RX has finally delivered on the mileage the sticker said it would get. I don't always believe the trip computers so I manually calculated the number of miles per gallon during a few of my fuel stops. I've ended up getting from 26.5 up to 30 mpg, driving 70 to 85 mph on the highway. This even included a couple of fill-ups with 86 in New Mexico. I've never put anything more than 87 into it (although I was tempted a couple of times), but she's done well this trip. The highest mpg's were achieved on I-40 between Albuquerque and Flagstaff. After Flagstaff and on through Kingman into Vegas it dropped back to the 26/27 range. I started my trip in sport mode since I read it could yield better results, but after about 700 miles I just left it in normal more and my numbers were still good. I'll see how it does around town over the next couple of weeks. If it goes down to the 19/20 range I'll be content with that. For the record, I was not babying the RX on this drive, but I did use cruise control for a lot of it (although I was constantly adjusting it due to traffic conditions on the highway). I'm hoping the long drive home through the northern states and on back into Texas give me similar results. Some other stats for the record: I had luggage for 4 people, but it was just me and my 8yr old son (wife and daughter are flying into town and then driving back home with us), and I had a cargo basket in the hitch with a large cooler that was full of food, drinks and ice. So it was somewhat loaded down too. And I started this trip with 6500 miles on the clock. So I'll probably be getting my first oil change before I head home as I can see driving more than 1000 miles in the next week and that will bring me to the 10K mark.

Jordan, what is city driving? My commute is 17 miles (4.5 miles street and 12.5 on freeway) what is my city driving ~25-30%?
Well it takes me 15 min to drive 4.5 miles and 15 min to drive 12.5 miles what is my city driving now ~50%?

There is no way to compare MPG without MPH, city driving is a loose term.
