I think I'll just do that, Gene. Actually, anyone in service or parts at the dealer can look up the same info. It's all a moot point for me now though. This car was totaled a week ago. I've got a Modern Lux '06 now.

...managed to get back to the original sales add from when I bought this car. The dealer still has the page online. Definitely Mark Levinson (and yes, also heated & cooled front seats).

Since I have a portable nav unit (Garmin GPS) with lifetime maps, I wish there was a way to get a newer LS these days without nav. I update my Garmin once a year, b/c roads change! Seems to me that built-in navigation data would get out of date quickly, thus necessitating buying a new DVD (or is there a new way to update the map data?)--an expense I don't need....

I'm with you on that! I'm in the market for an upgrade to a 2004-2006 LS430 but like some of the features you get with the NAV. My heart tells me to go on and get the NAV but my head tells me not.

I've never had a Lexus with built in NAV and it seems to me I'm just asking for another potential area of trouble. My last 3 were just "plain janes"....haha

Makes me more thankful for my mechanically-sound, still aesthetically-pleasing 2003. I test drive a new 460 about once a year, and those have a few features I like: most notably blind spot monitoring, window shades, adaptive cruise control, auto high/low beam headlights, and backup camera. But so far I keep walking away much more content with my 12 year old car than seems possible. Frankly, I'm still blown away by, among other features, auto on/off headlights and rain-sensing wipers!
