Lexus Test Driver
Let's just call it the HQ Lip, since it belongs to a Lexus HQ guy.

(1) Wait for 5Axis to get there **** together
(2) Find a replica
(3) Have a replica made
I am thinking about pursuing option (3). I know a guy here in the Bay that can do custom carbon fiber work and will reach out to him about this and see where pricing lands. Will report back.

I actually like this lip better than the 5 axis because it doesn't hang down low and have a pass through. Original post was over 1 1/2 yr old so good luck tracking it down.
I too would be interested if someone can fabricate this lip

So fabricating with my guy would be tough. They do a bunch of OEM and small run CF work, but aren't body kit experts.
The best way for him to do this would involve either:
1. Having someone make a replica that has been test-fitted from which he could create a mold and fire off a bunch of carbon fiber versions. The initial cost would to create a good version.
2. Buy a similar attaching 2-piece lip (if there is one), and create a CAD file to virtually do the same thing.
Neither of these is a strong suit for me, so if anyone has a contact that is good at either, I'd be in for a group buy where the deposit goes to pay for development and the remainder for production.

OK whomever took that photo of the lip PLEASE go back to Lexus HQ and ask who the owner of the car is so we can all find the answer to this question! I would but being 5 hours flight time away not the most practical move

Mystery solved - I asked 5Axis and they said it is the 5Axis lip prototype with no plans for production.
The plans are owned by Lexus corporate, so the next step is to ask Lexus to (a) either produce it or (b) as a goodwill to the community release the CAD designs and let us do a production run. I suspect the chances of either are nil, but I will make an inquiry.
If they say no, as I suspect they will, I will look into getting a lip in this style custom made in a limited production run.

Doesn't hurt to ask. You never know - it would be sort of awesome if they released a bunch of CAD files of different mounts so people could 3d print their own stuff. I know Nissan has considered doing it.
And if they don't, it isn't like someone won't be willing to knock it off. I am still denating between this lip, the TRD and the Wald anyway.
