when i had hot/stuck pixels on my camera i took off the lens and put the body cap on went through the menu and flipped up the mirror as if i were going to clean my sensor. i left the mirror up for about 30seconds to 1 minute and then turned off the camera. I slapped the lens back on and did a test shot and they were gone. im not saying this is 100% full proof for all cameras but for canons it seems to work all the time
