For a high mileage engine in the Arizona heat, I think it would help. Maybe replace one quart or even half a quart with the synthetic stabilizer at each change. Be sure it is the synthetic as the...

Thanks for the replies. I hadn't considered an effect on the VVT. Would this marginal difference in viscosity have a negative effect? I've used the 5/40 and never noticed any issues. We averaged...

anyone tried the Castrol 0-40?

I usually use the synthetic 5/30 for the winter and 5/40 for summer but I haven't seen the 5/40 lately but they do have the 0/40. Any thoughts on whether it's a good option for a first or second...

Heat would help

I've found that the fire breathing wrench [torch] works every time. If you heat around the nut to expand it, you'll probably be able to turn the broken bolt out if you can get a good enough grip on...

So do I - but a lot of manuals don't and this can lead to confusion, esp. with DIYs who have less understanding of the function and process involved and even more so if the manual says it is located...

I've noticed that a lot of service manuals have inaccuracies or leave out pertinent information. You'd think that if you pay considerable money for an alleged "factory" service manual, you'd get...

I don't know what the "access cover" that they refer to is. Bank 1 sensor 2 on a RX300 is behind the cat and in front of the resonator which is under the driver's side and why the connection is...

I just did a drain and fill without dropping the pan on my 2004 RX330 and it took 4 quarts. I emptied my drain pan into a gallon jug and it filled it.
