You can change the crank seal fairly easy. The cam seals are not so easy on your 98. If I remember correctly, the cams need to come out to change the seals.

Glad it's running. You can clear the codes by pulling the EFI fuse or disconnecting the battery for a twenty minutes. If the codes come back, please post them.

For the misfires I would take a look at the drivers side Ignition coil. The catalyst and misfire codes could be the result of the coil being bad.

I wonder if one of the wires got crossed on the pig tail for the IAC when you repaired it. I don't know if it's possible for it to operate that way, just a thought.

Sounds like you need to check the fuses first. Then have the starter checked. I don't think the ecu would have much to do with this issue.

Check the idle valve on the side of the power steering pump. When they go bad fluid starts to get dumped on the intake. This could also cause white smoke.

It's really hard to tell what rpm that its at by ear. The idle sounds fine. I think your tach problem is isolated from the misfire IMO. I would look into the tach checked out by a pro.

This sounds like a spark plug wire is not seated on one of the plugs right. It may be a good idea to double check the routing of the wires. Make sure that you don't have arcing between the wires.
