if you like lexus, and i highly suggest it over say a infiniti Q45, consider getting a newer model. 95-up perhaps. there are more refinements that come with newer cars, and 98-00 is the ideal years...

it's a very good idea to change the thermostat as you will be dealing with coolant for the water pump anyway. you'll have to bleed the system only once for the two parts, so it's ideal to replace it....

yep sounds like your alternator needs replacing or rebuilding. denso reman is they way to go, unless you want to upgrade for more juice to run extra accessories like a sound system.

what leads you to believe you need to replace your cats? they should last the life of the engine if running properly. you most likely have another problem and the cats going bad is just secondary.
