Sorry; I guess I wasn't clear. The chattering stops as soon as I insert the key, even just barely, into the ignitioni switch. So when the key is in, or the car is running, there is no chatter.

Cleaned the IACV and car runs and idles fine; thanks Salim! The batterty & charging system appear to be fine but the relay (most likely the 'A/F heater') still chatters. Any other thoughts?

If the cam seals were not changed at the 90K...

If the cam seals were not changed at the 90K timing belt and water pump replacement, then they will start leaking very soon. Best to do everything now.

My 99 RX300 has 224,000 miles on it and I have never had to replace parts in order to maintain alignment. Whenever I develop shudder under braking it is always fixed by replacing only the rotors.

Flat spot? BS. What happens is that the solenoid contact wears out. The part is $7 and can be easily replaced, but the dealers won't do it; they insist on selling you an entire starter.
