I have 16" and I run them at 38 psi hot. I measure when hot after highway driving. For me, this way I know what temp they will be when hot. They come down pretty even and set around 33 psi.

I think if you're talking long highway trips, once the LS get's rolling, it doesn't take too much (under 2000 rpm) to keep it rolling at 70 mph. So, getting regular won't matter too much on long...

Yes, I believe the MXV4 is being discontinued as a model completely. It's just the larger sizes went first. I just got a pair of 4 x 16" from Costco last month for a little less than $600 installed...
