I soak them in a bit of micro-restore in a bucket. I'll then use an ounce of micro-restore with my microfibres combined with HE detergent and some vinegar. prevents soap build up and has worked well...

I have them but I only use them for interior. I don't use them for paint. I keep my high quality towels for the paint. I've never tested them to see if they scratch but you can always do the CD test...
