This is how I feel too. Too bad by the time I decided to drive my car more aggressively, my car already hit limp mode a couple of time a la carbon buildup.

BTW Pearl how many miles on your car?

I've bounced off the limiter a couple of times in 1st. Sometimes I would keep the car in 3rd or 4th on the freeway, this was a few days before I brought my car in for the carbon buildup CSP @96k.

With regards to the oil consumption, have you ever had the piston rings replaced on your car? Lexus is still offering a 9yr unlimited miles for the Carbon buildup issue....

Congrats on your buy. Make sure to get the short shifter, its totally worth it. I too made a 9+ hour trip to pickup my IS250MT, I'd say overall it was worth it.
