You should try how they'd look tinted. :)

I prefer the second pic too. The chrome molding adds a good touch to it.

That's true. There's pretty much two options to go with. Either with anodized aluminum lug nuts or painted/powder coated steel lug nuts.
There comes the difference in color too.

But if they couldn't find a center console (they're all over ebay) with the heater buttons then they might have wired it...
