There are two different sensors. One feeds the ECU the other the dash. That's the point, most of the time there is no good way way to tell. So come 130k miles or so just replace it.

Your rain sensor should work. Mine works with both of my replacements perfect. You are right, the tint is more to the brown side. The OEM was green or blueish I can't remember.

Nice DIY. It's too bad they could or did not incorporate the auto "I agree" disable after 5 second with our LS430's. I think only Gen 5's vehicles got this feature.
