Eww, so the code remains once the solenoid signal is restored?

I'm OBDI, so I have no idea how to help you on that stuff. And as you've no doubt seen in the solenoid bypass thread, you're pretty...

Goodkat: '94 SC400 atypical *built* thread

I've been meaning to do this for awhile, and now that most of the car's projects are completed and the weather has turned (no cover for outdoor work and no room in the garage), it's time to just...

Is that just a specific brand of hose (complete kit) or something that changes the routing? I can't quite figure out what I'm looking at, and I'm not familiar with the SC300 setup...

It's easiest to remove the air inlet elbow if you loosen or remove the air box, as well. There's not much foreward-back range of movement to get the elbow out of there otherwise. There are two 10mm...

As far as I can tell, they're the same thing. The "black" one is just catching the light differently. All the pictures look identical to mine: bare, shiny metal. That raised lip probably seals...

Sorry, I didn't word that carefully enough. When I said a coolant line, I meant it's routed through the TB, as in there's an inlet and an outlet. That's two lines, the way you're thinking of it.

These cabins run pretty hot, but have you measured your vent temperature? I finally resolved my unpleasantly hot interior (113 degree "cold" air) by replacing a bad heater control valve actuator...

1) I wouldn't expect you'll get any codes for that on OBDI.

3) You only need to remove the air intake, not the entire throttle body. That is, assuming the '92 isn't entirely different in that...

Mixing OBDI and OBDII, as well as CA emissions and non-CA, seems sure to cause problems! I'd be surprised if addressing that doesn't solve a few issues for you. I imagine your O2 sensor data is...

There's a reason why you were able to buy a $45k car for peanuts. ;) If they weren't so expensive to maintain or restore, people wouldn't be giving up on them for so little.
