The bearing supports are like donuts around the driveshaft which support the driveshaft to the body. And yes they have a bearing in them. The shaft runs through the middle of the bearing.

I would stick with the Castrol Magnatec...

I would stick with the Castrol Magnatec synthetic....5w40 would probably be your best bet in your warmer climate. The synthetic would give you the best overall protection regardless of temperature...

Have you used one of these? To press the bearing out takes a lot of force, my 12 ton press does it but you wont believe how stressed it is....Otherwise heck I will get rid of the press and use these.
