oh well, don't feel to bad. I spent $600 chasing a MAF fault I caused myself by 'over cleaning' the sensor. It took months to fix/trace, and it frustrating as heck.

A TPS sensor is pretty basic, I'm not sure one actually 'can' go bad. It's just a variable resistor, anyway, it doesn't form part of the idle calculations. The ECU does idle from the NE and G + THC....

check the earth cable / replace the engines earth (double it up). I bet that's the casual issue,

you check the 100 amp fuse form the top, see if the link it broken there is a clear plastic...
