With the crank at 0 the cam gears have a mark (a line on a tooth actually) that match up with a notch behind the gears on the timing cover.

Theres also white lines...

That'll do it. When my engine and trans mount were bad I had noticeable vibration at 45-65 ish mph. When put in neutral it would go away.

if the parts car is a 93 or 94 id guess hes safe. compare part #s first.

I dont think a weak coil will cause a code 13. maybe a 14/15 but when my car had an exploded rotor it had no codes, so im thinking something is up with the timing or the cam/crank wiring/sensors

Code 13 is a discrepancy or missing inputs between the two cam signals and the crank signal.

codes 14 or 15 would be in issue in the spark circuits.

if you pull a plug lead (not the coil lead)...
