The AP2 can withstand a mis-shift a bit better. AP1 would have its valve retainers cracked and possibly lead to a dropped valve. Honda improved the retainer so there is a bit more room for error....

I'd skip it unless it was for bragging rights. But since you mentioned cost is not the main factor, might as well get it. That way you won't have to second guess yourself later down the road.

I'm surprised the 3.3L is actually decent. Power output seems to be at the levels of other 3.5L in the market. Not too impressed with the fuel economy though.

It's steering feel they're referring to. Some cars have dead-on accurate steering, but they don't transmit feedback from the road as well. Steering feel is quite subjective.
