i don't want to change the look of the car too much... I just want updated DRL...

i don't see any damage in the original pix other then wear & tear. when you remove the sticky weights for balancing, most tech's scrape it off... so very likely to get scratch... and the white stuff...

also yeah, they probably didn't change the bulbs when they changed your HOUSING. they cheap, so they won't give away free... very likely moved the bulb and all electronics from old HOUSING.
