vsc sounded like maybe you knocked out an ABS Sensor or something ?

I don't think it would run the bags, the wheel well distance increase and you hear a psst to release air instead. (it simply gets deflated). while I never had started the car while wheels are lifted...

I think you just need to have the head taken off to clean the valves, or even just from taking off the manifold and scraping and blasting. Neither should cost $4000
