I simply use the spray sealant I use on the paint. If just rain, at 35 and up I don't need the wipers at all. Simple, cheap(as in not spending $ on another product just for the windshield).

You can either re-wax or re-seal without having to clay again during the winter months. I usually only clay mine once a year, and it wears multiple layers of sealant during the year.

Rain X is the last thing I would use to treat my windows. I use what ever sealant I'm using on the paint on the windows and works wonders.
