I haven't seen any instrumented tests for the GS200t. Using the manufacturer numbers for 0-60 is pretty much useless. Are both using a rollout? Who knows. Let Motor Trend or Car and Driver test them...

Takes regular fuel, I guess?

Have you found the torque curve for the Tacoma's 2GR-FKS? I couldn't find it. Funny they have a high tune version for the 2GR-FKS for the GS350 but they go to the...

Are we certain that the IS300 is a 2GR-FSE rather than a 2GR-FKS? Does the 300 require Premium fuel? If it only requires regular, that is effectively a 10% fuel economy bump from your wallet's...

I am surprised that the IS300 is a 3.5L. I wonder if it is the same as the new 3.5L that is coming in the Tacoma with the VVTi-W. It will make 270hp in the Tacoma, though. If it is that new...

Cars.com has the 2014 IS-F at 3780lbs. The RC-F is 3958lbs from the same source. That is under 200lbs difference.

Good news is that it takes her over a week to burn a gallon of gas. She could commute in a dump truck and your overall fuel cost would still be very small. Haha

The 2015 Rav4 was apparently rated "good" just like the NX. They made improvements to the structure to prevent the intrusion near the left foot.

1) They absolutely will not require a complete rework of the IS to fit the 2.0T. Engine mounting brackets on the 2.0T will be modified from the front drive version in the NX to fit the rear drive...

There is a fundamental difference in a FWD chassis and a RWD chassis. Modern FWD chassis have the engine sitting sideways.* That means the crank shaft is parallel to the axles for the front wheels....

It was way more prominent on the pre refresh 3RX. My MIL has one and I don't even notice the beak anymore.

134hp to push around 2800lbs versus 200hp to push around 3800lbs. That is a 10% hp to weight ratio advantage to the NX. I'm saying that the NX will not be 9.9 sec to 60. It will be in the 8 to mid 8...

You forgot about the Venza (and judging by the sales numbers, so did everyone else).

I think the RX stays the same size, more or less. The styling of the RX is pretty iconic and I don't see...

You drove it wrong. I've been driving a stick since my first car, but the IS-F in the S+ mode is downright savage. For a turbo 4, I prefer a stick. I'm not sure a stick would have improved the...

Torque makes for a nice daily driver (and usually efficient if you make a lot of torque at the RPM where your vehicle is geared to cruise). Power makes for high performance, though.

Not necessarily the base engine. BMW offers the 320i (180hp 2.0T) and Caddilac offers an ATS 2.5L 4 cyl as the base engine. The 2.5L V6 could stick around as a base engine with the 2.0T being...

Note that it isn't the 2nd model year of the 3IS. Sept 2015 will be a '16 model; that would make the IS200t the 3rd model year.

Damn, now I have to decide IS350 F Sport, FR-S, or IS200T F Sport. Good problems. :)

Edit: Sept '15, not MY15. Guess it is IS350 or FR-S.

They are traditional torque converters... the IS350 8AT just has very aggressive lockup on the T/C. I don't know if the 350 AWD and 250 models have the same aggressive T/C lockup.

The LFA is an...
