Have you replaced the column? Sounds like you've had a lot of practice in removing it, might as well see if you can locate a new/used one. Possible your rack and pinion might have some issues too....

Mine has 170k now, feels like I have 520k. Though it's lasted 25 years, I've had to replace nearly every part of it. Obviously car reliability comes down to maintenance.

Found one on eBay for $60. It's a single line to the rack that eliminates the vacuum hoses. Came with new crush washers and fittings. Pretty sure DriftMotion offers a similar PS line as well.
