As far as I'm concerned, that's low mileage. I've got 244k on mine right now and haven't had any major issues. Just keep up with maintenance and it'll last a long time.

The bell housing can be removed from the 400's transmission and swapped with the 300's. The guts of the transmission are identical, so you shouldn't notice anything unusual once they're swapped.

Aside from the bell housing, the only difference is that the yoke that connects to the driveshaft is smaller on the GS300's A650E. You'll need to swap the one from the GS400.

Unless you plan on driving over 130 mph, H rated tires are fine. The ride might be slightly better because the tire doesn't have to hold up to as much as a V rated one would.
