I've owned two of these cars, a '97 and an '00. I always run what ever is the cheapest octane 87. Never a problem. Gas is already almost $4 a gallon for the cheap stuff where I live!

Surprisingly, it turned out to be TWO of the coil packs crapped out (#2 and # 6). Compression was all good. Mechanic changed em both out to the total cost of $240 for parts and labor. My ES is back...

Thanks Lexus2000. Can't believe that part is over $200! I may have to just live with the blinking. The lame thing is, the sensor is actually fine. Pretty sure just the wire is damaged.
