I had the exact same thing occur to both of my front doors when installing LED bulbs. I changed out the door jam switches and both of the light sockets with no success. This is an absolute mystery....

If you can isolate it to one side of the car or rear vs front, may be easier to determine if damaged wheel or defective strut is the cause.

Do you still have the original sensors on your LS? I thought the average life of the sensors was about 8 years and my car has been in service about that long and the sensors show no signs of battery...

You may have a defective door jam switch which seems to be a problem for many owners. I have the same issue and when I open the door and press the door jam switch and release it, the chiming stops.
