Default FS: Luxlink Automatic Top System and Starter for Sale **Rare**

It's been so long, family! I have really, really missed you all. I sold "Ebony" my 2005 SC430 Pebble Beach Edition about three years ago this summer and forgot I had a brand new in box Luxlink system in my cabinets in the garage. It's brand new. We did a CL group buy four or five years ago on here and I bought two just in case, actually with intentions on selling it, I just forgot I put it in a box and stored it away.

What does the Luxlink system do? Look at this video, but in a nutshell with a sequence of buttons pressed on your factory remote, the car will start and drop the top, put the top up with the press of your factory buttons on your lexus key remote! Additionally a fantastic feature is the double button press to drop the top from the interior instead of holding the button down for 30 seconds while your arm hurts!

I don't recommend installation by yourself and I'm not sure what support is left at the Luxlink company, but I'm sure you can call them for some advice. I had a japanese car specialist that used to work at Lexus install mine locally here in Dallas. There are also a bunch of us on here who purchased it and you might be able to get some help from fellow CL members.

This is a very very cool, out of production "must have" modification for your SC430, even for the purest. I absolutely loved it, and the new owners of "Ebony" loved it too, and are still loving it. Never had any problems with it. Here are some videos of mine in my car several years back.

I'm asking $1,000 for it, and will include free FedEx shipping with tracking # to your address. I believe I paid $750 plus shipping and this is a super rare, collectible item so just looking to get what it's probably worth.

Default Long time no hear

SCDROPTOP--WOW! I've missed you man. I dont know if you remember me. I got rid of my '02, but didn't go far-I drive a 2010 SC 430 that I bought in 2014 and lovin it. I remember when we both has our SCs and Infinitis. Our Infiniti was replaced with a Caddy SRX that I pull behind my Diesel Pusher. I liked my Infiniti better but couldn't tow it behind the MH. What you drivin now and do you still have that enthusiasm for your replacement? I wish you well! BTW I bought two Luxlinks when you did and sold mine for a grand about a year ago. Its still the best mod around-Good luck with the sale.

Hello,

do do you still have the LuxLink for sale? Do you know if it would work on a 2002? And does it have the 1/4 window option?

thanks!

Hello, I didn't see any messages in my PM... Not really used to using this forum or forums in general but my inbox seems empty.

My limited understanding is there is a large difference electrically between a 2002 and a 2005-2010.

steve at luxlink mentioned it today when I talked to him in Monrovia, ca looking for any luxlink parts

It is very unlikely you'll find any extra luxlinks around. The last production was around five years ago when I bought two. I sold my extra one last year for $1000. They will work on all SCs (2002-2010). I know because Steve installed them on both my 2002 as well as my current 2010. I'm fortunate to live only 30 minutes from Steve's shop and he actually used my SC in his last production. It was always called the best mod ever and I agree! Good luck with your search.

Hello everyone, team members, fellow CL SC owners and lurkers. I apologize for the extremely slow lag in response, all PM's have been responded to as of today. No excuses, but had a series of family emergencies to tend to and selling my extra Luxlink in the garage had to take a back burner. I apologize. I will ship the unit to whoever agrees to buy it FedEx priority shipment free of charge due to my slow response. I do still have the Luxlink, as Solman mentioned (thank you) it does work for all years, 2002-2010 and is extremely rare to find. I'm asking $1,000 for it which is a little more than what I paid for it back in 2010 plus shipping. Let me know who is interested. You can also call or text at 469-556-9274. Again I sincerely apologize for the slow response time.

Yes, there are some significant differences electronically between the 2002-2004, 2005-2008 and even 2009-2010 have some different to those, but nothing in the realm of top operation and key immobilizer operation. You are looking at mainly the manumatic/AFS/NAV changes in 2006+, the 2005 had a newer generation nav with bluetooth, and of course the 2009-2010 with usb port, different nav generation, illuminated mirror lights, etc. I'm probably missing a bunch of things, but the bottom line is essentially top operation and key immobilizer will be the same in regards to the Luxlink. I forgot the actual most practical modifications I ever did on that car was this and the nav update because it bypassed the welcome screen on the nav unit and you could just tap the button not hold it for the top to operate. Aside from the cool points of doing it remotely and starting it on a hot/cold day to get the temp just right, the nav screen override and one touch button was a life changer in that car! Wish my 2013 G37 IPL convertible had this today!

Thanks to the forum and a original purchaser who responded to my interest Steve at luxury wotorworks in Monrovia, ca is installing a new lux link in my new to me 2008 PB SC 430 tomorrow.

Option is the remote start and the quarter window control.

Thanks again for the forum and helpful enthusiasts as a member had a set of new PB floormats which were missing when I got the car and now the luxlink.

even a blind hog finds an acorn once in a while it seems.
