Default New 2004 SC430 for me

We just acquired this 2004 SC430 with 27k miles. Florida panhandle car. Have been searching for a low mile white SC with saddle interior for a long time. Car needs some intense detailing to get into shape but it has minimal wear and interior is in wonderful shape considering it is 12 years old.

Got a 2004 myself. I've upgraded the taillights to the more modern 06-10 look, changed the nav system to gen 4, and put an aftermarket backup camera on mine. I love the car. FYI 2004 is one of the most trouble free cars produced in the SC430 model. Mine has 58K miles and I've had it about 18 months. Love the car. Enjoy yours.

Jabberwock, curious does your car have the "bumpsteer" where when you go over bumps your hand shakes back and forth on steering wheel?

No "bumpsteer" that I have noticed. There is more what I would call feedback in the SC steering than in my 06 LS but I think that is by design. While it is not a miata in terms of handling the SC is much easier to drive precisely in terms of handling than the LS. My car only has 28k miles on it so maybe it depends on age and wear level of the transmission.

Have you ruled out the bad ball joints?

Yes I ruled out bad ball joints, I found where they were replaced at Lexus in the history not too far back.
I will receive the new KYB's today and will get them on this week, so hoping that is the issue, its driving me nuts.

Guys, I posted this on my other thread about suspension but wanted you all to know the OEM KYB's solved the issue! It drives like brand new and absolutely no more bump-steer!!!!! I actually did not want to stop driving it today, thanks so much for all of your help, I really appreciate it!

foreste1 Are those the stock wheels on a 2004 SC430 or did you replace the "pie Pans?" I have a 2003 SC430 with the "pie pans" on it! I like the looks of your wheels better than my wheels!

Hi DylanFan, they are stock wheels, but mine is 2004, so I think they switched from your style to my style in 2004.
