2003 with 55k for 13.5k in December from a private seller.

I looked at 4 similar ones from local dealers and this one was in the best condition overall and drove like it had 20k miles! Several, if not all, of the other ones I looked at had some kind of problem with the front end (perhaps under-inflated tires or in need of alignment?) and/or blown out speakers, and/or poor touch-up spots on the body, and a higher asking price (my seller was asking 17k).

Just before buying this one I saw a VERY low-mileage one on eBay (perhaps only 2k miles) which was either a 2008 or 2010. I think it was in NC. I was drooling over it, but didn't feel that bad about it since it was black and that's not one of my favorite colors. But if it were available at the time, I would've seriously considered buying it. I think the asking price was $28k ("or best offer"). Someone out there is VERY happy. Are they on this board?

Slight correction. I mentioned that I paid $15K AU equating to $ 20K US. It should have been approximately $10K US. I was fortunate that it went as a quick sale.
The average asking price for for the 2002 SC is around $20K AU, $15K US, depending on Mileage.

I am in the process of getting a 2002 SC430 for $25k Canadian (about $20 k US). It has 17k km (11k miles). Original owner. No navigation but spoiler.

Thanks for all the responses.

It looks like there aren't a ton of high-mileage purchases recently... or so it seems.

Keep it coming!

Would really like to see the spoiler you're referring to, please? I'm thinking of updating mine. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

...if I remember correctly, some of the 1st year Sc's could be bought without the nav system & without the factory tail/spoiler. There was a thread with pics of both years ago, but I can't remember what it was titled

Sorry, guess I misunderstood. Thought you were saying it was an aftermarket spoiler. Thanks

Even though mine has a nav screen, I guess it's one thing less to go wrong,

with the multitude of gizmos that the SC has.

Just bought 2004 SC430 with 27K miles on it. Pearl white exterior with saddle interior. Price was $22,200. I'm an extremely picky buyer, when I buy a car it has to be a creampuff. This is was a florida panhandle car and had never seen snow, near mint condition inside and out. Only downside is the timing belt hasn't been done, miles are very low but it is 12 years old. May get the belt done pretty soon.

I was just at the dealer yesterday for the seat belt recall and he suggested changing the timing belt. Why would/should I do that? Just 18,000 KILOMETERS. It is a 2002, so 14 years old.
