This is the kit many of us have used. Aisin is partially owned by Toyota. You can look at the master cylinder and it says Aisin on it. these are OEM parts.

I have always wondered why you need Toyota red coolant?
what is wrong with coolant that is compatable with Toyotas or aluminum engines.
does Toyota make special antifreeze?

Is this the anti freeze?
https://www.amazon.com/Toyota-Genuin.../dp/B004SL8568

or is this what you need?
https://www.amazon.com/Toyota-Genuin.../dp/B004SL84Z0

the MSDS says it is the following
http://msdsdigital.com/toyota-super-...lant-273k-msds

do ya think someone else could make this product and sell it at Walmart?

Of the links you listed, thefirst one is the premixed 50/50 and the second one is straight anti freeze. If you buy the straight, you have to mix it with distilled water yourself. Now, as to what makes the red stuff different for Toyotas, I don't have a clue.

Yes it does and no it doesn't include the thermostat. This has all the idlers and the one tensioner.
the only difference in antifreeze these days is the price. There is no need to buy Toyota brand antifreeze. Prestone and the others meet all the requirements that the owners manual specifies.

Hi iokmaster

Which thermostat should I buy from Amazon ? I don't see a part number
i guess I should also get a serpentine belt . Should I get a OEM belt ? what about the cam and crank shank
seal ? Do I need those ? I heard labor to change those is high and they only change
when they leak

i called ML Lexus and the parts for the set with the themostat is over $400 !
The Amazon looks like a great deal assuming everything is OEM

I don't know which thermostat to buy I didn't replace mine. It is so easy to get to that I will wait until it needs it. There are many good belts. Gates, goodyear gator back. I think you will be fine with any of the name brand belts. I did have the seals replaced at the same time. I sourced them locally. They are cheap.

It uses the same thermostat as any 4.3 Toyota Engine. Try searching a Tundra 4.3L. It is the same, that's what I did. $25 from mazon.

I just ordered the following from Amazon for my 2006:
Stant 14128 Thermostat - 180 Degrees Fahrenheit
Stant 27283 Thermostat Seal
Continental Elite 4060878 Poly-V / Serpentine Belt
2 gallons of Toyota Genuine Fluid 00272-SLLC2 Long Life Coolant
Aisin TKT-021 Engine Timing Belt Kit with Water Pump

I don't plan to install them until after Labor Day, but definitely before the cooler top down weather begins. So in about 3 weeks I can confirm if they are the right parts.

I just looked into the Amazon W/P kit by Asin and everyone who bought that set is saying the water pump gasket is missing from the kit. Has anyone here experience the same problem ? Do you have to get all the gaskets for the W/P from the dealer ?
the gasket issue is the only thing holding me back from getting the Amazon Waterpunp / timing belt kit . Any recent experience here with the Amazon kit and what gasket on the pump is exactly missing ?

thx

Good for you! I have been happy with them so far. You can also call them if you run into a bind. They will point you to the right part number, too.
