Hi all, Per my tire man, I need four new rims for my 2003 sc430 (which only has 26,000 miles on it) - seems the pot holes have been eating my rims! Anyway, I saw these and think they look pretty good,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, any thoughts/suggestions/comments? tks, ray

The eBay ad says it may not fit the SC430 correctly without spacers or something like that...

Just make sure you know what you are looking at and the size is correct.

I am no expert and really should not step in here, but I did and just wanted to pass on fair warning.

They are Lexus Tourmalines and I purchased them from another SC430 owner, he purchased them from a Lexus dealer.

Welcome to the forum RayMead. Might be the first to chime in here on the other side of the coin, but I'm not a fan of those rims, per se. They add a little more of a tuner style to the SC430. They look great on the smaller hatchback type Hondas and VW's. With the length of the SC430, i personally feel that it's not a great look. Check out some of the virtual wheel and rim selectors online. You might find something more to your liking. If you type in "Wheel and Rim Visualizer," into Google you'll get lots of results. Some even has the SC430 as a base map. But also as stated above, make sure you know the specs that are standard to the SC430 (bolt pattern, center bore, offset, caliper clearance, wheel well clearance, tire aspect ratio, etc) compared to the rims and tires you choose to avoid future headaches and wasted money.

ReyMead I stil have a set of original rims from my 06 if your interested, hell they still have the original run flats on them, not sure what part of pa your in.

If you are looking for aftermarket that fit ALL the specs for our cars, try Lumarai. You can up-size, get staggered fitment and they have been built specific to our Lexus specs (hub bore, wheel nuts, offset, etc). I got a set from Eric at GetYourWheels who is a club sponsor. actually I got THREE sets if you include my RX.

If it's really the roads you're driving on, perhaps you should look for alternate routes. Does your tire man sell rims? I don't think you want to be in this same place 26k miles after you've bought new rims!

I have a set of the Forgestar F14 19" for my all seasons tires. Take a look they are a great wheel but the silver color doesn't come as shown in the picture - I had mine powder coated.

I have a set of Tourmaline rims for sale with brand new Bridgestone Blizzak MZ-03 tires mounted on the rims. I just sold my 2006 SC430 with 40,000 miles. Used as winters. As you can see, 2 rims (#1, 4 inches long and #3, 2 inches long) have minor rim rash. Currently stored at the dealer and need to be cleaned and polished. Live in the Chicagoland area. Asking $1650. Local pickup, or buyer pays for shipping.
