I am very sorry but relieved that you are ok. I can't tell from the pictures but did the air bags deploy? It seems to be a big enough impact.

If you zoom into picture 2 you can see the drivers bag had deployed. I hadn't thought about it till you asked.

Quite the impact, what does the other guy look like!

Total insurance write off then? No plans to get another?

I assume the yard will break it for spares then? I think they'll be a few people on this forum that would like bits & bobs from it if it is broken down.

-Not so bad actually. I hit the part where the back cab of the truck meets the bed...impact was hard but seems like I took the brunt of it.

Total insurance write off then?
-Yep total lose.

No plans to get another?
-not yet. its been crazy over here. Fortunately I have other cars I can drive so no hurry there, only problem is none of them are convertibles!!! :mad Believe me Ill begin to pick up the search soon , more so towards the end of the summer before the great weather hits South Texas.

-I assume your correct but that's out of my hands...insurance company was quick on the pay out and pick up of the SC.
Only good thing is they allowed me to take my vossen rims and tires as well as the audio unit I had set up, minus the speakers. My aftermarkits had to stay in since I didn't have the OEM speakers any longer.

as I said before. out of my hands.
only things I was allowed to take out was stuff I could replace back with the OEM stuff I previously had on. So,i was able to walk out with my tires/rims and the amp/sub/head unit.

I'm in the Houston area here. As far as dash cams go I like the g1w-c. It operates in full hd. It has a capacitor instead of a battery. Batteries in our heat tend to die or leak in the extreme heat. In the valley where you are it's even hotter. It's the only one I know that uses a capacitor. Not saying for sure it is but the only one I know of.

👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 That's it!!!.... I'm assuming you live in the Laredo area, and your a fellow SC driver? If so, Wow! Had yet to meet another SC owner here in town. Very rare vehicles around this neck of the woods.
