Default 2004 SC430 Wheel covers

Hello everyone,

I'm purchasing a very clean Black with saddle 2004 Lexus SC430 this week and my first Lexus. I hope someone can answer a question regarding the wheel covers. This car has the OEM disc covers on the wheels and I want to change them to the twist covers instead. Can I use the same screws or will I need to get new ones?

Thank you,

Ron W

Default Wheel Covers

Thanks for the quick reply. This will be a temporary change so I can take my time and look for wheels.

Thank you Harold,

I have been looking for the SC430 for six months and finally found a one owner car that was well maintained and no accidents. I almost purchased a Mercedes SL500 in August but thanks to this forum and all the great contributors I decided that the Lexus was a better looking car and most likely a car that would not be in the shop as much as the Mercedes.

Ron, I think you'll be very happy with your new SC430! The styling of this vehicle is very polarizing - some swear it's the "ugliest car ever made," while others (like many of us here on the SC forum) believe it's one of the most beautiful cars we've ever seen.

I've owned a 2006, 2009 Pebble Beach, and now a 2002. I should have never sold the 2009, but I did find a perfect condition, low mileage 2002 (43k miles), and I'm very happy with the car. I did immediately replace the "Pie Plate" rims for new Lexus G-Spiders. I recommend you take a look at the G-Spiders and also the Lexus Tourmalines. These are both great-looking Lexus OEM rims, and can be purchased very reasonably via My Lexus Parts World (be sure to use the Club Lexus discount code - CL5). I think I paid around $900 for the full set of G-Spiders, which beats aftermarket wheels by a mile while still retaining the Lexus OEM quality. Good luck!

Yes G-Spiders and Tourmalines. Classic rims for our cars.

Hi Rick,

Thank you for the information on the wheels. Could you provide the exact link to "MY Lexus Parts World? There are a couple of sites that are similar but they don't have wheels.

Thank you,

Ron

Ron: Here's the link to My Lexus Parts (also known as Lexus Parts World): http://www.mylparts.com/

The Part Number you'd need for the G-Spider Rims is 0845730813. They currently cost $261 each, but after you add 4 to your cart, you can apply the Club Lexus code CL5 to get 10% knocked off, yielding a total price of $940 for the set (with free shipping). This is a great deal on amazing rims! Good luck! Rick
